4 Things I Wish I’d Known Before Starting My Business

Hey, everyone.

It’s been a while since I last posted.

I’ve been burnt out from school and didn’t have much time to concentrate on my blog (always was being super lazy).

I’ll be posting every 2–3 days a week so stay tuned for the upcoming posts.

Today’s topic is, The 4 Lessons I Wish I Had Known Before Starting My Business.

1. Be Yourself. Through Hard Work & Determination Anything is Possible

Nothing and when I say nothing, I mean nothing, is possible without hard work. It’s a prerequisite for achieving anything in life. The ability to work hard is the foundation for success. If your competitor is working 50 hours a week and you’re only doing 40, you can bet he’s getting ahead.

2. Don’t Be Afraid to Make Mistakes

It’s easy to be comfortable with the same day to day routine. It’s hard to step outside of your comfort zone and take a leap of faith. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, often it’s an opportunity to learn and grow in not only business but also life.

3. Know Your Limits

Now this is slightly contradictory to the previous point. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, but also know your limits. There’s nothing impressive with someone who bites off more than he can chew. Having an idea of your own capabilities and consistently pushing those limits is what sets apart an ambitious person from a fool.

4. You Are More Important Than Your Skill

If people don’t trust you, they’re not gonna give you business. It’s simple as that. Sell yourself, and what you believe in. It’s fundamental in business. I started my landscaping business to pay for my education. Now my vision is to provide other students with the same opportunity. My clients are willing to give me business because of what I stand for.

What do you stand for?

Anyways, these are my tips for people looking to start their own businesses. If you have any questions leave a comment down below or send me a message on social media (links down below).

As always, thanks for reading and I’ll see you guys in the next post.
